About CSO
The College of Syntonic Optometry, also known as CSO, is a post-graduate educational organization dedicated to the study and clinical application of syntonics, also known as optometric phototherapy.
Syntonics is the branch of ocular science focused on the application of selected light frequencies through the eyes. It has been used in optometric care to support patients with visual dysfunctions and related clinical concerns, including:
- Strabismus
- Amblyopia
- Focusing and convergence problems
- Learning-related vision disorders
- Visual effects associated with stress and trauma
- Visual challenges related to brain injury
Established in 1933, CSO serves optometrists and other health professionals interested in advancing their understanding of syntonic phototherapy and its role in vision care.
